We had a
pretty solid week this week. Probably the coolest part happened during
our last hour of proselyting time in the week. We had a goal to get
three new investigators and we were sitting at 1 with only one hour
left. We had been out for a few hours before knocking and talking with
people, but to no avail. So finally we headed back to the city where we
live. Both of us just really wanted to go home and take care of some
things there, but after praying we were able to muster up enough faith
to keep going on the streets for another hour. Man that can be tough
sometimes!
The moral of the story is to put your faith in God and stop
doubting!! We really needed to get those two new investigators. During
that last hour of the week as we pushed through our physical exhaustion,
we found and taught two people about the Book of Mormon, got a return
appointment, and prayed with them. Right after we talked with the last
guy who we taught, we looked at the clock and it was exactly 9 o'clock.
If we had given up even 5-10 minutes earlier, we wouldn't have reached
our goal or found two new people to teach. It was a great lesson about
patience and submitting my will to His. It's amazing how good God is at
pulling through for us when we really show Him that we trust Him and
that we want to do His will.
That's my thought for this week. I know the church is true!
